This publication describes the acceptable ultrasonic examination methods that can be used in place of internal visual inspection and hydrostatic requalification for the examination of certain metallic, 3-series, gas cylinders and tubes as mandated by Title 49 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations and Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations of Transport Canada.
