Call for Participants: CGA Handbook of Compressed Gases Focus Groups

September 17, 2020

Previously, we announced our intent to transition the CGA Handbook of Compressed Gases from a traditional textbook to an interactive online tool. The Handbook includes 13 chapters on topics such as gas safety, regulations, valves, cylinders, containers, bulk shipments, and delivery system equipment as well as monographs for more than 60 gases.

Each monograph includes chemical information, physical constants, vapor pressure curve, description, uses, physiological effects, methods of shipment, containers, and other important information on compressed gases.

We are now seeking members of the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) to participate in focus groups to define the features and content for the online Handbook tool. The focus group meeting(s) will be held via web conference in late 2020 and early 2021.

Focus group members are not required to have technical expertise to update specific text content for Handbook chapters or monographs – the focus group work will seek to identify critical functionality and characteristics for an online tool. Participants will be provided with complimentary access to the current Handbook.

If you are interested in participating as a Handbook focus group member or would like to learn more, please contact Laura Brumsey, CGA’s Vice President of Operations and Administration, at 703-788-2757 by September 30, 2020.
