CGA GAWDA Cylinder Requalification Seminar

Time is Running Out! Register Today!

Since CGA’s founding in 1913, it has been our mission to promote ever improving safe, secure, and environmentally responsible manufacture, transportation, storage, transfilling, and disposal of industrial, medical, and food gases and their containers. Consistent with that mission, the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) and the Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA) are excited to present the 2022 Cylinder Requalification Operations Safety Seminar.

This seminar is intended to provide a forum for the industry to meet, raise and discuss issues devoted to cylinder requalification, cylinder valves, and regulatory issues, and afford attendees an opportunity to share experiences and communicate lessons learned that will further develop personnel, skills, and knowledge. Attendees will hear from industry experts on current topics including:

  • Brief overview of all requalification methods (proof pressure, visual, hydro, AE, UE, composites)
  • Everything you wanted to know about 49 CFR
  • Cylinder requalification
  • Visual inspection – challenges and commonalities and composite type cylinders, tube trailers
  • Valves and pressure relief devices
  • Advanced cylinder remediation
  • CGA C-26/CSA B339/49 CFR 178.35 (mass and tare weights) review
  • Many other important aspects of cylinder design, testing, and requalification
