CGA’s newest hydrogen safety video, Delivery of Hydrogen, is now available. The video explores the safe delivery of hydrogen and emphasizes that safe delivery begins well before hydrogen arrives on-site.
Selecting the right supply system is an important first step. Industry professionals should consider three key factors:
- Pressure
- Flow rate
- Gas or liquid supply
The video also covers transportation planning, special considerations for cryogenic hydrogen, matching the supply system to the process, and other factors that support safe and reliable delivery.
As hydrogen applications continue to expand, safely moving hydrogen from where it is produced to where it is used will remain essential. Hydrogen may be delivered by truck as compressed gas or cryogenic liquid, or transported in larger quantities through pipelines. Each method requires appropriate equipment, materials, planning, and safety practices.
The new hydrogen delivery video is the latest addition to the Safe Hydrogen Project’s growing video library. The Safe Hydrogen Project is a collaborative global effort led by CGA to develop and distribute safety information for the production, storage, transportation, and use of hydrogen.
