CGA’s Annual Meeting is the largest technically-focused gathering of industry subject matter experts, and features a multi-day program with engaging speakers, invaluable networking opportunities, and technical committee meetings that play a crucial role in advancing safety across our industry.

Overview

We’re excited to welcome everyone to the CGA23 our 110th Annual Meeting, and are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all participants and staff. This year’s annual meeting will take place fully in-person at the Omni La Costa in Carlsbad, CA.

Everyone attending meetings or events scheduled in conjunction with the Annual Meeting must register and pay any applicable registration fees and optional activity fees. A registration fee will be assessed if an individual attends a committee meeting and does not register for the Annual Meeting.

Please review all meeting and registration information prior to completing your registration. As you complete your registration, please indicate the meals and optional activities you plan to attend in order for CGA to accurately arrange for seating and food and beverage.

Committee Meetings

CGA members are welcome to attend committee meetings held during the Annual Meeting, whether as a current member of a committee or as a guest. In either case, please RSVP for the meetings you wish to attend during your registration. As you progress through your registration, note those events and committee meetings that are marked “by invitation only.” Access to these meetings is restricted, as indicated.

Registration Information

Please complete the online registration process to the end. If you register by the March 20, 2023 deadline, you will only need to submit payment information if your spouse/significant other or other guest will accompany you, or you choose to register for one or more fee-based optional activities.

If paying by credit card, any applicable fees must be paid online, in full, at time of registration.

Registrants may also opt to pay any necessary fees by wire transfer. If you wish to pay by wire transfer, please first complete your full registration using our online system, then indicate that you wish to pay by wire transfer. Once you have completed your registration, you will be given the opportunity to print your receipt detailing any applicable fees due. Safety Awards Banquet

You may purchase tickets for others from your company who will only be attending the Safety Awards Banquet. The cost is $250 per person. Please use the form at the bottom of this section to contact Jana Hollis for further information.

Cancellation/Changes Policy

Cancellations are required regardless of whether a registration fee has been paid or not. All registration cancellations, activity cancellations, changes, and requests for refunds must be submitted and confirmed via CGA’s online registration system on or before April 10, 2023. Refunds are subject to a $50 (USD) processing fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after the deadline for any reason.

Alternatively, you may call the hotel’s reservations line at 1-800-THE-OMNI. When you call, be sure to reference CGA 2023 or Compressed Gas Association to receive the Compressed Gas Association group rate of $289 plus tax per night.

Please Note: Any requests for special room arrangements must be made at the time of reservation. ADA rooms are available upon request.

Reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card and require a deposit equal to the first night’s room and taxes. Deposits are fully refundable if cancellation is received 72 hours in advance of guest’s arrival date. No shows will be charged to the guest’s credit card on file for the first night plus tax.

Room bed types are not guaranteed. The hotel will assign room types at check-in based on availability. Special requests should be made directly to the hotel.

Please Note: CGA has contracted with Omni La Costa to set aside a sizeable block of rooms at this greatly discounted rate for meeting registrants. The Association is contractually obligated to fill this room block and may be exposed to significant financial liability should our members fail to support this room block. We appreciate members choosing to stay at the Annual Meeting host hotel. CGA cannot guarantee that rooms will be available after the March 20, 2023 deadline or once the room block is full.

CGA’s 5K Fun Run/Walk, will take place on property at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa and consists of two laps around the resort property. The course will be marked by red arrow signage and an Omni team member will lead the group in a golf cart. There will be a pre-run/walk stretch conducted by a member of the Omni La Costa recreation team. Each participant will be issued a race number and names and completion times will be recorded to recognize the top finishers for both running and walking. Participants will receive a medal. A water station, towel station and post-event healthy refreshment are included.

CGA’s 2023 Annual Golf Outing, sponsored by Eleet Cryogenics, will be held on the Par 72 Omni La Costa Golf Club’s Legends course. Transportation will not be provided. If you anticipate needing help getting to the course, you may contact the Omni bell stand for assistance.

Note: The Legends Course is located behind the Omni and easily accessible by foot from the guest rooms and meeting space. The Young & Emerging Professionals Reception is scheduled to start at 6:00PM and the Welcome Reception at 7:00PM.

The $195 participant fee includes greens fee, cart fees, practice range balls, bottled water, and boxed lunch and tournament services fees.  Club rentals are available at a cost of $92 including tax and are Callaway Epic Flash Woods with Rogue irons. Rental sets come with two (2) sleeves of Callaway golf balls in a collectible pouch. Retail merchandise, rental shoe and food and beverage purchased at retail facilities or from beverage carts are each player’s responsibility.

If you wish to rent clubs, please indicate this during your online registration for the Annual Meeting, so that CGA may submit your rental request. You are responsible for rental charges, which will be collected at registration.

An average score or handicap must be included in each golfer’s online registration for the Annual Meeting. CGA will assign all foursomes based on handicaps.

Prizes will be awarded to each member of the first, second and third place teams, and winners of the Closest to the Pin, longest drive and Hole-in-One contests. Information on game play and rules will be sent to registered players prior to the outing. USGA Rules of Golf govern all play.

Appropriate attire is appreciated on the golf course and practice areas: collared shirts, long pants or Bermuda length shorts. Unacceptable attire includes T-shirts, tank tops, athletic shorts, short shorts, cut-offs, or jeans. Metal spikes are not allowed at the Omni La Costa Golf Club.

Members, spouses/significant others, and guests are welcome to register, but space is limited.

Afternoon at the Beach

CGA is offering guests an afternoon at the beach. A shuttle will take guests to the nearby Moonlight State Beach where an area specifically for CGA members will be set up. There will be beach chairs, towels, a water station and light refreshments. Guests will get shuttle from the Omni La Costa which will be on rotation from 1-4:00pm. It takes 15 minutes to transfer to the beach and that last shuttle will return to the Omni La Costa at 4:30 pm. Don’t forget to pack your suntan lotion, sunglasses and swimsuit.

The San Diego, CA International Airport (SAN) is the closest international airport to the Omni La Costa, and is approximately 30 miles or 35 minutes from the resort.

John Wayne Airport (SNA) is both a commercial and general aviation airport that serves both Orange County, CA and the greater Los Angeles area. SNA is 60 miles or 1 hour from the Omni La Costa.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is approximately 100 miles or 1 hour 30 minutes from the resort.

Ground Transportation

The Omni La Costa does not provide private airport transportation or shuttle service.

Taxi and Ride Share services are readily available at all three (3) airports and the approximate costs are as follows:

What to Wear

The dress code for CGA committee meetings is business casual, coat and tie are optional.

Dress for the Safety Awards Banquet is business formal: business suit, or coat and tie for men; business or cocktail dress for women.

A light sweater or jacket is recommended for outdoor evening events. Indoor meetings and events will be in air-conditioned meeting space, so it is recommended that you bring a light jacket or sweater.
