Laura provides administrative management for the following CGA committees:

  • Board of Directors
  • Executive Committee
  • Legal Committee
  • Standards Council
  • Hydrogen Production Committee
  • Hydrogen Technology Committee

Laura Brumsey is responsible for working with the President & CEO, Vice President of Technical & Regulatory Affairs, and Board of Directors to provide strategic direction and leadership for the Compressed Gas Association.

She joined CGA as a Committee Administrator in 2008 and subsequently held positions as the Manager of Standards Operations, Director of Operations and Administration, and Vice President of Operations and Administration. She was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2024. She is a passionate advocate for the engagement of young and emerging professionals in CGA activities and for the continuous improvement of CGA’s member benefit programs, work processes, and technology platforms.

In addition to her work at CGA, Laura serves on the Society for Standardization Professionals (SES) Board of Directors and is an active participant in American National Standards Institute (ANSI) programs.

Laura holds BS and MS degrees in Consumer Science from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).

She lives in Sterling, Virginia.
