Help Us Recognize CGA Members That Have Demonstrated Environmental Excellence

There’s still time to submit your company’s nominations for the Compressed Gas Association’s annual Environmental Recognition Awards Program. The submission deadline is Wednesday, January 12, 2022. We invite all CGA member companies to share with us your stories of environmental excellence!

Presented annually, the Environmental Recognition Awards are given to those CGA member company facilities, teams, or individuals that have conducted activities and/or projects that meet identified “environmental excellence” criteria.

Established in 2000 and sponsored by Messer Americas, this awards program enables CGA to identify and share good environmental practices as well as promote environmental awareness and improvements within companies and the industry.

The type of projects we seek include activities associated with reducing waste and emissions to the environment as well as actions that conserve natural resources, reduce energy consumption, or otherwise demonstrate an environmental benefit. Previous recipients have demonstrated innovative approaches to improving the environment while reducing costs.

CGA is currently accepting submissions for the Environmental Recognition Awards to be announced at the Safety Awards Banquet during the CGA 2022 Annual Meeting in Naples, Florida April 10-13, 2022.

Any facility, team, or employee of a Compressed Gas Association member company in good standing that has conducted an environmentally beneficial activity or project within North America and completes the award submission form is eligible for consideration for this award.

Remember: Submissions are due by Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

The Environmental Committee encourages CGA member companies of all sizes to submit projects and/or activities for consideration for these awards.

The Awards Submissions Process

Nominations should be coordinated by one company representative (such as the environmental or safety manager) and no company may submit more than three nominations.

Nominations for activities and/or projects meeting identified “environmental excellence” criteria for CGA’s Environmental Recognition Program should be sent to Christina Hartz, CGA Committee Administrator. If your member company has a representative on CGA’s Environmental Committee, that individual must submit your company’s project(s) for consideration. If your company has no representation on the Environmental Committee, then any employee may submit a project (or projects) for consideration.
