CGA’s Rob Early To Serve As Chair of US TAG: Hydrogen at Scale and Horizontal Energy Systems

CGA would like to congratulate CGA staff member Rob Early on his appointment to serve as the Chair of the US TAG for ISO/TC 197/SC 1, Hydrogen at scale and horizontal energy systems.

Rob joined CGA in 2018 and serves as the technical manager for several technical committees, including the Hydrogen Technology committee and the Hazardous Materials Codes committee.  Rob is heavily engaged in CGA’s expanded work in the hydrogen space.

Before joining CGA, Rob worked at Praxair on developing hydrogen system standards, conducting hydrogen systems and practices training, and designing and starting up specialized bulk hydrogen systems as well as other work on compressed gases at customer locations.

Rob also serves as chair of the global ISO/TC 58/SC 4 subcommittee for gas cylinder operations and recently completed a term as chair of the NFPA 55 industrial and medical gases technical committee. Rob is a member of the NFPA 2 hydrogen technologies technical committee and is leading the task group to ensure all hydrogen content is now in NFPA 2 and not split between NFPA 2 and NFPA 55.  Rob has a history of successfully leading committees, task forces, and working groups within ISO, CGA, and NFPA.
