Compressed Gas Association (CGA) Announces Exciting New Hires and Promotions

The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) is pleased to announce a series of recent new hires and promotions within the organization. These changes reflect CGA’s commitment to strengthening its team and advancing its mission to promote safety and technical excellence in the compressed gas industry. The following individuals have been appointed to key positions within the CGA, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to their respective roles.

Promoted: Krista Lee, Director of Publishing

Krista started working for CGA in 1999 as a standards operation assistant and in 2012 was promoted to committee operations manager. In her current role as Director of Publishing she will serve as managing editor of CGA’s complex publication process and CGA’s library of more than 380 documents. Krista finds purpose in the mission of CGA and the importance the publications play in the safety of the industry and the public.

Promoted: Kristy Mastromichalis, Senior Program Manager, Standards & Committees

Kristy Mastromichalis is responsible for direct supervision of the standards administration and project management team, which provides support to CGA’s Base and Canadian technical committees and related publications, meetings and events, and projects.

She joined CGA as a Committee Administrator in 2011 and was promoted to Committee Project Manager in 2013. In her previous roles, she managed activities and work processes of committees in an overall team effort to carry out CGA’s mission. Kristy believes the development of industry consensus positions and the promotion of safety information is a matter of great significance to both industry and the public.

New Hire: Jihan Asher, Standards Administrator

Jihan Asher is responsible for overseeing many of CGA’s consensus-based standards development work processes and ensures adherence to relevant policies and procedures. In her role, Jihan prepares committee meeting agendas, works with committee leaders to prepare for meetings, communicates meeting details and other information to members, records minutes, and documents revisions live on-screen.

New Hire: Mikaela Zallen, Standards Administrator

Mikaela brings international policy, research, brief writing, and editorial skills to her new administrator role. She is responsible for communicating with committee members, following procedures, and providing guidance. Prior to joining the CGA, Mikaela served as a Translation Editor for The Gioi Publishers, Vietnam’s official foreign language publishing house. There she edited a multiplicity of subject matters and document formats for meaning, fluency, grammar, and adherence to official publishing procedure that she continues to use at CGA.
